Sewing Retreat 2023

Brighton: 26th - 28th April 2023

In this year’s The Maker’s Atelier Sewing Retreat we will be focusing on The Classic Coat, guiding you through all the techniques required to create a coat to be proud of.  

We will cover fitting, pattern adjustments, welt pockets and other variations, bound buttonholes, and lining techniques.



You will be guided through making a fully lined coat toile in Calico as well as learning about different fabric qualities and how to sew with them. Finally, there will be an opportunity to go fabric shopping with Frances and Claire.  

You will leave the retreat with your toile and additional samples for all the techniques and fabric qualities.  

This will be an intensive but enjoyable three days for you to take your sewing skills to a new level, while socializing with like minded people. It will be fun!
