Constructing The Faux Fur Gilet in pictures

The Faux Fur Gilet is cut as one outer piece and one lining piece, that are joined and bagged out to give a clean finish. To create this the shoulder seams can be tricky to get right.

The following images, when used alongside the instruction sheet, should help you create a great finish.

1 - Stitch the fur outer, right sides together at shoulder

2 - Stitch the lining, right sides together at shoulder

3 - Turn back through between each of the next steps as to make it easier to see what to stitch next

4 & 5 - Pin and stitch one side at a time - here the armhole.

Make sure the shoulder seams line up.

6 - Check from the right side

7 & 8 - Pin the final opening.

Stitch through.

9 - Turn through. Repeat with the other shoulder.

Finally hand stitch the hem opening.
