I first walked into Rue Herold the Parisian fabric shop in February of this year; I loved the quite calm and ordered roles of fabric.
The most fabulous qualities of linens and other natural fibres with different treatments and finishes. The fabrics are displayed mainly in neutral colours especially black and whites. So you can concentrate on the handle and texture. The additional colourways for each fabric quality are shown in sample books.
Alongside the fabrics are the most exquisite ribbons and trims.
Rue Herold has been created by Charlotte de la Grandiere, an Interior Design stylist with impeccable taste. Charlotte is a fan of The Maker's Atelier and donated some of her Comete linen to make up the Drawstring Dress.
I was delighted when Charlotte visited The Maker's Atelier a couple of Sundays ago. I felt very honored and she also bought me one of her special fabric bags.
If you are lucky enough to be in Paris, do visit the shop which is situated near the Palais Royal in the 1st Arrondissment. If not the bags and many of the fabrics and ribbons can be bought on the Rue Herold website here.
