This flattering and easy to sew dress is one of my favorite makes of this year. It is asymmetrical and in balance at the same time. That makes it a great pattern.
I did not make any changes to the pattern except for the sleeves that I lengthened. I used a silk crepe with some weight. For the next one, I think I will make another one as it suits my body shape really well, I’d choose a slightly heavier fabric with enough drape.

I was eager to try the Asymmetric Gather Dress, and I’m happy I did! It’s another effortless dress to make and wear. One of the thinks I liked best is that you can vary the drape and fit by adjusting the elastic that runs through the casings. I used a Tencel chambray with a lot of sheen to it, and the only modification I made was to take in the side seams around the waist to give the dress a little more shaping. All in all, another win from The Maker’s Atelier. @laglov
