I have made the unlined version for my daughter and the lined one for me. This was my first lined garment and although that brought added challenges the advantage was that the edges could be left unfinished as they are all hidden away. Both versions look great and my daughter loves being asked where she bought her jacket.

I thought I’d forward the results of some of my lockdown sewing. I made the wide legged trousers some weeks ago in a lovely stretch jersey from Stone Fabrics (Totnes) and recently made The Blazer in The Makers Atelier crepe which I was a bit nervous about as it’s not a recommended fabric for the pattern. However, I lined it it a silk satin from Beckford silks, adjusted the sleeve head slightly to allow for my narrow shoulders and back and I’m delighted with the result. A cool, summer jacket I can throw on with anything, giving a cool, fluid look to any outfit. Thank you for providing such inspiring patterns and kick starting my love of sewing.

I have completed two patterns the ultimate pencil skirt and the blazer. They are so easy to follow and adapt. Great quality pattern paper so they don’t tear and they last! They are fast becoming my favourite patterns
