Two more variations of The Hooded Contemporary Sweatshirt
Here are two simple variations of the Contemporary Sweatshirt, which have become my latest wardrobe staples.
For the sweatshirt version I simply made up the boxy sweatshirt, and added the hood from the hooded sweatshirt version - stitching it in place at the end.
The sweatshirt dress, which I especially love, is the same shape, but with the front and back pieces extended by 40cm. For this longer length I needed half a metre more fabric than the quantities on the pattern. I left the shape 'square' as it suited the loop-back cotton jersey I used. This had an approximate weight of 220-240gsm.
This dress would also make a great beach cover up in summer. For that I would choose a lighter weight jersey probably around the 190-210 gsm and possibly tapper the side seam slightly.
