Colour-blocking The Shell Dress

This is a great update for The Shell Dress: colour blocking to accentuate the line of the shoulder.

First take your pattern, draw a line to mimic the shoulder seam - the width between the line and the shoulder can vary depending on the look you wish to create.

Trace of the different sections, remember to add a seam allowance for the new seam.

Stitch the colour block pieces together first then make up your pattern as instructed.

The finished effect is a flattering line to the shoulder, drawing attention to the face.
