I was very tempted by this pattern as I saw a made up one (Facebook?) and it looked lovely. It did not disappoint. I bought the pdf and got it printed as there were no paper versions available and I hate sticking bits of paper together! I made size small, going from my upper bust measurement (34 ins) and my hip measurement of 37ins. My bust is nearer 37 ins but I have narrow shoulders and I could see that there was ample room for my bust in a size S. I shortened it by 3 inches as I am only 5 foot 3. I used a medium weight cotton/viscose fabric that I had in my stash, think it was from Seasalt. I managed to get it out of 1.8m of 140W fabric, slightly less than the 2m recommended, probably due to shortening the pattern and not putting pockets in. I really don't like pockets as I find they often ruin the line of a garment, particularly if it is a drapey fabric. I know some people will think that weird but I would not put anything in a pocket if I inserted one anyway. I don't like lumps and bumps all over the place! I did interface the inside of the V neck as was suggested (I made a quick pattern piece using the front bodice and piece of tissue). Also the back neck facing as directed, I felt my fabric needed it. First of all, I overlocked the side seams, shoulder seams, sleeve side seams, V neck and back neck (once interfaced) to stop fraying. The seams could then be pressed open when the seam was stitched. It was a dream to sew. Instructions were great and it came together well. It needs accuracy for the pleats at the front and back - I am a fan of tailor tacks! The only fiddly bit I found was the back neck facing which has to be sewn very precisely to work. Take your time and it will be OK. I overlocked the sleeve and armscye after I had inserted the sleeve. I was very pleased with the final result. It fits like a dream is very comfortable and looks very professional; it gets lots of compliments. I wore it at Xmas with a lightweight silky polo neck under it for warmth and will wear it in the spring/summer without. Very versatile then. I will probably make another one in linen.
