The Big Easy Top
PDF sewing pattern

(VAT is added to all EU orders)
SIZES: 8-22
SEWING ABILITY: EASY
Simple, stylish and easy to make, these two styles flatter most body shapes.
Choose between a round-neck cocoon shape, or a more boxy style with a grown-on funnel neck. There are two sleeve widths that fit both styles.
This pattern is suitable for beginners.
I love this jumper. Both the pattern and the fabric are spot on!!
It is the Big Easy Top in a gorgeous boucle textured coating fabric from Minerva. The pattern says not to hem. But I prefer the finished look of a hem, so I hand stitched an invisible hem and did the same to the sleeves and the roll neck.
I’ve worn it loads already. It’s so warm, roomy and cuddly

My 5th Big Easy Top....i love this pattern. A true T&T pattern for me.
Just wanted to let you know that I tried your big easy top, making a lined version with two layers of double gauze (Merchant & Mills wobble gauze in navy and a Nani Iro print). It made up so easily and is lovely and cozy. Thanks for the wonderful pattern! Avery
I bought your lovely Big Easy top pattern and have sewn one already from some navy and white striped jersey. I adore the top. I've conquered my fear of sewing with jersey. I love the pattern - I made two in about three hours. Fabulous. Thanks.
I just thought I’d let you know that I managed to modify your Big Easy pattern to fit me (I am a size 26 and 5’9”). It wasn’t quite as straightforward as just grading up – I cut down from the shoulder to bottom and added a bit more in and also widened the neck slightly (just allowed more on the fold). I also had to (sadly) straighten out the sides which currently come inward. I made it up in a muslin (bad idea) and then in microfleece (much better idea). I wear the toile (microfleece) all the time and people love it! The boiled wool (final version) is to die for, but I made a rookie mistake and forgot to preshrink it! Then I washed it on 30 degrees and it’s shrunk slightly – however it has taken on the most wonderful texture! It’s dark grey to match my hair and I wear it with a huge silver necklace and get lots of compliments!
