I really enjoyed making the Pull On Shirt. I had not attempted a placket of this kind before and it was a little challenging. I had some beautiful but expensive linen that I wanted to use and I certainly didn’t want to mess it up. I decided to ‘toile’ the placket element only as the rest of the pattern is very straightforward. I had some scrap fabric and cut the top half of the shirt front piece and the placket piece and practised the placket construction. I was glad that I spent the time to do this as it definitely helped me get a nice neat finish with my linen. I look forward to making the dress variation.

I’ve finished my @themakersatelier pull-on shirt, I extended the pattern to make a dress and I love it. ( instructions are on The Makers Atelier website) This pattern went together really easily, and could be made in so many fabrics. I choose size 18 and no alterations were needed. I love the fit and the pared back style, which is so wearable. This will be my go to summer dress. I even have the prefect sandals to go with it. @new_vintage_sewing

I’ve been looking for a non fussy but stylish dress with kaftan-vibes that would not swamp me, yet be cool and comfortable in our very hot summers. Think I’ve found it in this #makersatelier Pull-On Shirt which I hacked into a dress as per their excellent website. I have had so many lovely compliments regarding this pattern, thank you and I will be using it again soon. @jessna_j
