Pattern variation
Two new variations.....
The bomber jacket is everywhere right now; in the press, on the street...... so here are two variations that I hope you’ll find inspiring.
The first is in a wool crepe version made in a longer length. A young girl tried on the Sport-Luxe Bomber Jacket sample at the recent Knitting and Stitching Show and it inspired me. The size 12 sample was slightly oversized on her small frame but it looked really cool. So I decided to lengthen this navy version. I simply added 10cm to both back and front and made it up as instructed.
The second version is definitely Luxe! I spotted the most gorgeous silk satin and silk georgette in the same small print design at Til The Sun Goes Down and thought I would mix the two together. I’ve cut the front in the satin and the back in the georgette. Due to the fabric width I added a centre back seam. Georgette is always tricky to sew with and mixing it with a fabric that’s twice the weight took some care. But I love the outcome…….
